Dennis Curley |
|
Dennis Curley is a native of Syracuse, New York, and now lives in
Minneapolis. A graduate of Northwestern University (Evanston,
Illinois), Dennis has spent many years as a performer, composer, musical
director, and arranger. He is the arranger of Schoolhouse Rock Live!
and Schoolhouse Rock Live Too! (published by Music Theatre
International), and he served as musical director for the first, second,
and third national tours and Minneapolis productions of Schoolhouse
Rock Live!, the world premiere of Schoolhouse Rock Live Too!,
and the 2004 national tour of The Fantasticks. Dennis composed
and arranged the music for Hamel Road Theatre Project’s production of
U Betcha: The Making of a Minnesotan Boy Band, which ran for fifteen
sold-out weeks in Minneapolis, and has since been produced in LaCrosse
and Plymouth. He also composed the music for the recent
TheatreBAMChicago/Urban Gateways production of Many Moons, as
well as the Chicago Children’s Theatre productions of The Passion of
Dracula, Alice in Wonderland: A Musical Circus, and The
Princess and the Pea. Dennis has performed the roles of Jinx,
Frankie, and Sparky in the musical Forever Plaid in Minneapolis,
Maine, and Michigan. He sings with the Twin Cities’ rock band Pizazz,
and was seen there in Warm†Beer Cold†Women, the critically
acclaimed salute to the music of Tom Waits. He is delighted to have
found such a wonderful community of like-minded spiritual people to
share his Sundays with!
